Temperature ranges quoted by manufacturers of these materials are typically absolute maximum values which do not take into consideration actual operational conditions.

Often, connectors are subject to considerable mechanical and electrical stress, which is not factored into these values, so they must be derated to be valid for long term, reliable service.

Therefore, the following values may be quite conservative in relation to those published by the manufacturers of the raw material.
